U-19 CWC: Nepal qualifies for quarter final

Kathmandu, Jan 30: Nepal registered its second straight win to book a place in the quarter-final of ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh.
In the match today, Nepal defeated Ireland by eight wickets to build on the remarkable win against New Zealand by 32 runs.
After restricting Ireland to 131 runs, Nepal easily achieved the victory target of 132 runs in 25.3 overs at the loss of 2 wickets. Ireland had made the total at the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Five-wicket haul by Sandip Lamichhane including a hat trick. Dipendra Singh Airee took 2 wickets.
For Nepal, Yogendra Singh Karki top scored with 61 runs not-out in the match while Aarif Seikh got 31 runs not-out.Karki and Seikh made not-out 75 runs partnership for third wicket. Likewise, Sunil Dhamala contributed 28 runs.
On the other side India also reached in the quarter-final win over Ireland in first match and New Zealand by 120 runs in second match today.
Nepal and India will play its final match of the league of group D for the group winner on February 1, Monday.
