  • Albanian PM appoints four new ministers

    TIRANA, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Monday presented four new ministers of his cabinet.

    The new interior minister will be Fatmir Xhafaj, former minister of justice in left-wing governments. Olta Xhacka was appointed minister of social affairs.

    MP Eduard Shalsi was appointed minister of local government affairs while Ogerta Manastirliu, who has served as head of Tirana University Hospital, has become the minister of health, the prime minister's cabinet said in a press release.

    A day earlier, Rama dismissed four ministers from the ruling Socialist Party, saying these changes were made for the ministers to better focus on the election campaign.
