  • Nepalese residing in US contribute Rs 1.2 to school

    Babiyachaur, April 16: Monetary aid of over Rs 1.2 million has been received to construct a new classroom building at the Jayanti Secondary School based in Bhamkili of Beni Municipality-3.

    People from Bhamkili and currently residing in the US collected the funds and sent it here to help the school's infrastructure development efforts. The amount was handed to school management committee chair Padam Pun and principal Ram Bahadur Pun jointly amidst a programme here Saturday. The fundraising campaign was held on the initiation of one Yam Pun from Bhamkili and living in the US, according to the school source.
    Construction of a 30-room cemented building is underway in the school. It may be noted that earlier the school too launched a fundraising campaign at the local-level to manage funds for the development a new infrastructure which is estimated to Rs 30 million.
