  • IFWJ delegation welcomed

    Kathmandu, June 19: A delegation led by President of Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) K. Vikram Rao that arrived for Nepal visit was welcomed amidst a programme here today.

    The programme was jointly organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federation of Nepali Journalists, Department of Information and Nepal Tourism Board.


    The 125-member delegation also comprises Sri Lankan journalists arrived here on Saturday.


    It is on the 'Vishwanath to Pashupatinath' trip that originated from Varanasi, the religious city in the Uttar Pradesh state of India on June 17 and will conclude upon reaching the Pashupatinath in Kathmandu on coming  Thursday or June 22.


    The team entered Nepal via the Bhairahawa point and visited Lumbini, Manakamana Temple and Pokhara before arriving in the capital.


    On the occasion, DoI Director General Bir Bahadur Rai, formally welcoming the delegation, urged it to visit Nepal's other touristic destinations and famous temples as well. RSS
