President's birthday wishes make Rastrakabi emotional

Prakash Silwal, Kathmandu, Sept 23 (RSS): Madhav Prasad Ghimire, a highly acclaimed figure in the Nepali literature who celebrated his 99th birthday Saturday became so emotional when he received the birthday wishes from the Head-of-the-State.
"Your creations are highly praiseworthy which have significant contributions to making the Nepali language and literature standard," this was a portion of the birthday wishes that the nonagenarian poet who is respected as the Rastrakavi (national poet), received from the President.
He received the message of best wishes and a bouquet of flower from the Secretariat of the President when he was surrounded by his relatives and well wishers since early morning on his special day.
President's media expert Madhav Sharma and personal deputy- secretary Shiba Bhattarai reached the Rastrakavi's residence at Lainchaur to hand over the message of best wishes. In response, he said he was very grateful towards the President at the moment for receiving the birthday wishes from the highest level of the state.
He reacted in an emotional tone that such wishes infused positive energy in his soul and body at this ripe age and were capable of inspiring him to live longer.
Ghimire was born at Pustun of Lamjung on Asoj 7, 1976 BS. He is best known for his works Gauri, Shankuntal, Kinnar Kinnari and Malati Mangale among others. He is also a well known lyrist and his lyricists are influenced by the feelings of patriotism. He is currently busy with the creation of Rhitambhara, an epic.
